With more than 30 employees, creative content agency monami has experienced impressive growth in recent years and opened additional locations in Chur (CH) and Berlin (DE). Now, it is part of the MYTY Group.
Owner and CEO of monami, David Cappellini, has taken the next step in the company’s development and joined MYTY. Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Zurich, the creative content agency has always risen to the challenge of how to rethink and relate content in the wake of digital transformation. Its spectrum of services includes creative strategies, copywriting, videography, motion design and more. The agency develops campaigns for clients like Switzerland Tourism and Coop, and fully manages SEAT’s social channels. Among other things, monami gained fame as the initiator of the first Swiss MTV Unplugged.
David Rost, CEO of the MYTY Group, on the decision to acquire monami: “In Switzerland, storytelling is thought of in a very different way; especially with monami, there is an exceptional ability to combine new platforms and trends. The group is already benefiting from the latest addition to MYTY.”
We‘ve been receiving requests from agency networks and similar players to join for some time now. Even if the names were tempting, in the end it mostly came down to adapting, fitting in, working more or less conventionally. But we want to keep our own approach, our own culture, come hell or high water – that is our most valuable asset; the team, the cohesion. And that’s what I liked most about MYTY from the very beginning. In addition: alongside me, our executive board members can also get personally involved in MYTY. That was a big concern for me.

By joining MYTY, Cappellini hopes above all for exchange and structural support: “We’re constantly growing. Structure is the biggest challenge. Of course, exchange within the group helps enormously.” With MYTY, Cappellini also wants to tackle new thematic challenges, including new platforms like BeReal and the dynamics of the digital in phenomena like the metaverse: “Primarily, I hope for inspiration – and new friends.”
Stephan Suter, CEO of MYTY Switzerland, on the new addition: “Our portfolio of services from the MYTY Switzerland agencies Hutter Consult, CRK and The House is strategically and optimally complemented by monami, and, with David and his team, we tap into performance expertise for Next Gen Marketing. MYTY Switzerland now manages and supports around 120 competent employees in all relevant communications disciplines.”
